Silicon Valley Regional Center (SVRC)

Types of Investments

There are two investment types offered through SVRC; the US$500k investment in a Targeted Employment Area (“TEA”) or the more elite US$1m investment that is in a non-TEA.

The US$500k investment in a TEA allows foreign investors to take advantage of the opportunity to invest in the regions with higher unemployment rates and need for job creation. The current employment rate in the dynamic Silicon Valley reflects that of the national rate, yet surprisingly there are several high profile pockets within the region where the unemployment rate exceeds the federal government’s Target Employment Area threshold of 2.5 times the national unemployment rate. The unemployment rates in these pockets may actually be overstated given the large quantity of students in certain areas – with Stanford University, Santa Clara University, San Jose State University, and University of California, Berkeley, the area contains some of the most reputable higher learning institutions and one of the highest student populations in the country.

The $1m investment is in a non-TEA enhancing the strength of the investment and allowing for potentially higher returns on the investment. The operator has excellent relationships with city governments in many of the non-TEA cities as they have worked on other large projects in these areas. The non-TEA investments are in top neighborhoods with better more secure projects offered exclusively through SVRC to EB-5 investors.

There are currently two investment opportunities offered by SVRC:

  1. 200-room branded Hotel
  2. Specialized medical surgical hospital
